Kyprios

I had quite a vivid dream last night. Marshie and I had decided to take a year off and travel around the world (no doubt inspired by an article in the Globe on Saturday which chronicled the adventures of a guy who quit his job to travel). We decided to start with the birthplace of civilization, which we believed was an island in the Mediterranean called Kyprios. We had many adventures there.

We both woke up at around 3:30 a.m., possibly due to a loud truck or siren. I told Marshie about my dream, and he laughed and said Kyprios was not an island, but a hockey player turned TSN sports broadcaster-- Nick Kyprios. We soon fell back to sleep.

This morning I decided to Google the word and found out that "Kypros" is the Greek word for Cyprus, home to a neolithic culture around 8,000 years ago. I don't know where my brain got any of this, as my knowledge of geography (and Greek) is fairly hazy.
